Some days are just plain challenging, but add in pain and your day can become very difficult. In addition to just making things harder, pain can also get in the way of doing what you love.
What you love to do is important! We hear people define themselves by activities close to their hearts. I am a; runner, gardener, bush walker, painter…let’s look at what you can do if you are living with pain.
Be flexible
Don’t give up! Explore other ways to maintain the activities that you love to do. This is particularly important if you are living with ongoing chronic pain. Pain calls for a flexible relationship between your body and activity. If you have chronic arthritis and love to garden for example, you may need to make the most of getting outside in the afternoon when your body has warmed up and feels better. If you are an avid bushwalker you may benefit from integrating a gentle yoga practice into you routine before setting out. If painting is your thing, feed your creativity with gorgeous paints and art books to enjoy regardless of how mobile your hands feel.Chinese Herbal Medicine for Pain Relief
