Green Clay photoCreate your own day spa experience at home with fine Green Clay

If you love the feeling you get from a day spa, but cannot afford the cost or time, creating a spa in your own home is easy, affordable and fun.  The key is to use quality, natural products and ingredients. One key product that is versatile, easy to use and has several uses in your home spa is Fine Green Marine Clay.  Clay has been used for centuries for health and beauty remedies, dating back to ancient Egyptian times. When we talk about clay, we don’t mean any clay, but a quality clay product, that is rich in minerals and trace elements such as Silica, Magnesium, Calcium and Iron.  Always choose your clay from a reputable supplier, particularly one that is internationally certified for its quality. Fine Green Marine Clay is so versatile and is a great addition to the natural medicine cabinet or spa.   Not only is Fine Green Marine Clay highly detoxifying on the body, it is also rich in minerals and is a natural anti-ageing agent.

Tips for a relaxing home spa

  1. Set aside some quiet time for yourself so that you can fully enjoy the experience of your home spa.
  2. It is important that you give yourself permission and space for some time out.  Put it in your diary.  Create a day/evening on a regular basis, such as once a week or month
  3. If you need to, give yourself some time on a weekend, or after the kids have gone to bed.   Let your family/partner/flatmate know that you need some time out.  Not only will you feel relaxed and pampered, but you will feel enriched, rejuvenated and energised.
  4. Light 1-2 scented candles in your bathroom to create a relaxed ambience.
  5. As you run your bath, prepare your face mask and apply
  6. Add clay to your bath as per the directions below
  7. Soak in your bath for up to 15 minutes
  8. While in the bath, wash off your face mask.
  9. If you feel the need to, though this is not necessary, shower off after the bath under the shower for a few minutes.

Using green clay in your own home spa

For beautiful clear & radiant Skin

Green Clay maskFacial Green Clay Base Mask
  • 1 cup of Fine Green Clay
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Almond or Olive oil,
  • ½ cup natural filtered water
Dissolve the honey in the filtered water, slowly add the oil and mix well. Gradually add the fine green clay and mix vigorously until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This is the base mask. Apply to the entire face and décolletage. Relax for 10-15 minutes. Remove the mask using a dampened sponge or washcloth with warm water.   Please note: After 3 minutes the mask will begin to tighten the skin. Sensitive skins may experience a light tingling sensation or reddening after removing the mask. This is a normal reaction for some skin types. For Normal Skin: Add up to 3 drops of Lavender Essential Oil and mix well. Apply. For Dry Skin: Add 1 tablespoon Jojoba oil, 3 drops Sandalwood Essential oil and mix well. Apply. For Oilier Skin: Add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon or grapefruit juice and mix well. Up to 3 drops of Lemon Essential oil can also be added. Apply.
