Moogoo Scalp Friendly Cream Conditioner uses natural ingredients to moisturise the hair, not silicones to coat the hair with something slippery. It also has ingredients to control the flora of the scalp that sometimes causes scalp problems for people.

Benefits

• Aqua: When we were told that we have to call our purified water “Aqua” we thought they were kidding. But we can’t fight bureaucracy. So we aren’t trying to be fancy, but we do need to call our water “Aqua” sometimes.
• Cetearyl Alcohol (Plant Emulsifier): SMade from a mix of purified water and oils so as to be more moisturising than oil alone. To hold water and oils together, they need an emulsifying wax. We use a plant based wax that allows the water and oils to stay together.
• Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Canola Based Detangler): Rapeseed Oil Derived Detangler. Terrible name but one of the best natural conditioners for the hair. Most conditioners use silicone (cycolmethicone or dimethicone) to coat the hair in slipperiness which can also cause build-up. We use this ingredient in combination with Jojoba Oil instead.
• Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil: Jojoba Oil is one of the most moisturising skin care oils around and is one of our all-time favourite moisturising oils. It is light and sinks into the skin easily. Curiously, Jojoba Oil is actually a liquid wax. It is also very non comedogenic meaning that it does not clog the pores. It makes for a good conditioner too. It helps keep the hair shaft smooth and soft. Most hair conditioners use silicone to coat the hair (cyclomethicone or dimethicone), however Jojoba Oil is much more natural and moisturising and doesn’t cause so much build-up.
• Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil: Wonderfully healthy for the skin. So many benefits, it might be best to Google "Olive Oil Skin" instead.
• Piroctone Olamine: Piroctone Olamine is an anti-yeast ingredient. Non-irritating, it helps keep the product free from bacteria and mould.
• Allantoin: Comfrey Root has long been known as a soothing plant. Allantoin was identified as the part of the plant that performed this function and it has since. It is said to clean away dead tissue,allowing the growth of new healthy tissue. Allantoin has been also termed a counter irritant. It helps the skin to help itself. It is also promoted as preventing lines and wrinkles by assisting skin repair.
• Hydrolysed Milk Protein: Amino Acids can help the hair to feel smoother and softer. We use hydrolized protein as a cow friendly source of amino acids. For people with Lactose intolerance this is no problem. However for people that are allergic to Milk Protein itself, this ingredient would not be suitable. If in doubt, all natural products should be patch tested before use.
• Fragrant Oil (Phthalate free): We used to use various Essential Oils in our Milky Shampoo, Conditioner and Milk Wash. EO’s are great if we could talk to each customer and check for allergies. Due to the occasional reaction to EO’s, we removed them. We want to sooth people scalps and even a very small number of reactions to EO’s was distressing for us. But people still want their hair to smell nice. So we worked with another company to develop phthalate free fragrant oil (phthalates are the things in fragrances that a lot of people don’t like) and since then the response has been great.
