Description
Nutritious Wild Wakame adds unique, subtle umami flavour. Can be used as any green vegetable is used to complement a meal such as in salads, stir fries or soups.
Benefits:
- Wild harvested, air dried to preserve colour and nutrients and tested for contaminants.
- The white powder you see on the leaf is what is said to give seaweed its natural umami flavour and is not to be confused with mould.
Note: The fine white powder which may be evident on this seaweed frond is glutamine, a naturally occurring amino acid which rises to the surface of a wild harvested seaweed as it dries naturally. This is the source of wonderful umami flavour in wild harvested seaweeds and is not to be confused with mould!
