Hempseeds make a milk that is high in protein and calcium. Hemp milk is as easy to make as blending hempseeds and water, it is easy to digest and so it is unlikely to cause any digestive upset.
Basic Hemp Seed Milk Recipe
Hemp Milk Recipe
- ½ - 1 cup hempseeds
- 4 cups water
- himalayan salt (optional)
- Add ingredients to a blender
- Blend for a minute or 2 until creamy and milky
- If desired, strain through a nut milk bag
- Store in a glass jar in fridge for up to 5 days
Variations on your Hemp Milk
Depending on your palette, you may like to add any of the following to flavour your Hemp Milk:- a little Vanilla powder
- a pinch of Cinnamon
- a drop or 2 of Stevia
Mixing it up and going nutty
Hempseeds blend well with nuts, why not try combining hemp seeds with:- Almonds
- Cashews or
- Hazelnuts
