There is nothing like good Aromatherapy Shower Scrubs for making you feel fantastic! With your skin feeling smooth and soft, and the essential oils lifting your spirits, it’s a great way to start the day. Make the basic recipe and add the essential oils that make you feelgreat!

Basic Shower Scrubs recipe:

  • 250gm fine ground cooking salt This can be any type of salt, Celtic sea salt, Himalayan crystal salt etc The important thing here is that is very fine ground so it doesn’t scratch and tear your skin
  • 3 tblsp of any one or even a mix of the following vegetable oils: Jojoba, Macadamia and Almond, or Avocado for very dry skin
  • 6-9 drops essential oils in total below are 3 blends that are a lovely and warming for winter
Mix together in a glass jar; use a handful in the shower and rub all over your body to have your skin feel exfoliated smooth, clean and moisturised.

Warding off winter

  • Pine – helps keep away colds and flu’s
  • Patchouli - warmly relaxing and calming
  • Frankincense – helps you to breath deep and let go of the winter blues

Sweet Spice

  • Benzoin – sweet vanilla like aroma, warming to the skin, can use Vanilla also
  • Black Pepper – also warming, while adding a little spice

Warmed up, ready to go

  • Ginger – warming and energising
  • Palmarosa - balancing
  • Petitgrain – centring and calming
