Superfood Bliss balls are all the rage right now – and rightly so.
They have the potential to be little powerhouses, jam packed full of health promoting surprises.
They are energising, satisfying and scrumptious. Not to mention the benefits they contain for digestion, glowing skin, muscle repair, immune system and cardiovascular health due to the healthy fats, fibre, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and live enzymes they contain! These bliss ball have it all!
They are the perfect snack on any day, a great afternoon pick-me-up or for a light dessert – and without all the nasty additives such as refined sugar, artificial flavours and colours, gluten and dairy that most snacks and desserts contain. Instead, they feature the incredible cacao, seeds, fresh blueberries, coconut oil and the natural sweetness of dates. What more could you want from a delicious snack?

Cacao and Blueberry Superfood Bliss Balls
- 15 medjool dates
- 3 tbsp chia seeds (soaked in water for at least 20 minutes)
- ½ cup ground flaxseeds
- 1 cup almond meal
- ½ cup shredded coconut
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- ½ cup raw cacao powder
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- In a food processor, process the dates until it´s a smooth paste then slowly add all the other ingredients (except the blueberries) bit by bit until it´s a smooth consistency.
- Remove from the blender and place into a bowl.
- Add the blueberries and gently mix through.
- Depending on the consistency of the dates you used, it´s possible the mixture might be a bit too wet for rolling, if so, add a little more almond meal as this stage,
- Roll into bite size balls and enjoy!
