When you pack your bag for your winter break - do yourself a favour and remember to include a few essential oils. They will delight your senses as well as keep you healthy on your travels.
Travelling to sunny climates
- Blend lots of lavender and a little peppermint essential oils into aloe vera juice or gel. Spray on to cool and refresh regularly throughout the day. Makes a great treatment for skin that has had too much sun, very soothing.
- Take your favourite floral or spice essential oils to wear as an exotic perfume in the warm evenings.
Travelling to exotic countries
If you are concerned about upset tummies while travelling, take some basil or peppermint essential oil with you- the aroma can help with feelings of nausea
- adding a little to your body lotion and rubbing onto your stomach can help with nausea and diarrhea
- add to your wash cloth when showering to feel refreshed and clear headed after long flights
Travelling to colder climates
Wear cedarwood and orange essential oil- the blend is warming and comforting,
- also centring and grounding, to help with any travel stress
- and antibiotic for the lungs to help protect against infections
