Jojoba Oil

Jojoba stands apart from most carrier oils because of what it actually is at a molecular level. Rather than a true oil, jojoba is a liquid wax ester with a molecular structure remarkably similar to human sebum, the skin's own naturally produced moisturiser. This structural compatibility is why jojoba is so uniquely effective across a broad range of skin types, including oily skin, where applying a facial oil feels counterintuitive but often produces measurably better results than heavier creams.

Because jojoba mimics the skin's natural sebum, it communicates directly with sebaceous glands, signalling that moisture levels are adequate and helping to regulate oil production rather than stimulate it. For oily and combination skin types, this makes it one of the only oils that can genuinely balance rather than exacerbate congestion. For dry and mature skin, its rich vitamin A, D and E content alongside omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids supports structural repair, moisture retention and the reduction of fine lines over consistent use.
